Normal nets you an achievement for completely finishing (inc. No mission achievements are attainable on casual. On brutal, you've got hammer securities and war pigs instead (the stronger, merc versions, of the respective units) Example: 2nd Mission: the mineral / gas cache above your start location is unguarded on normal and casual, but on Hard, you've got a marauder and two marines. AI gets more preplaced units, and attacks with larger groups of units.Brutal opponents will target your medics first, if possible, for instance, whereas normal and even hard AI opponents will be content to fire at the marines being healed by them. Brutal is on "Fastest" and each difficulty below that is likewise one speed setting lower.

My system is very optimized and I'm running Windows 10 圆4 with the latest drivers for everything. I have an SSD but the game is currently installed on a WD BLUE 1TB - I have no issues with games like GTAV and FALLOUT 4, both of which love fast storage. Again, I had no issues running HOTS with reflections ON, FPS would never go below v-sync. Something is definitely wrong with both settings. I still don't think Reflections are something that justifies half the FPS. Still, enabling Adaptive V-sync helps a lot, since it deals with the occasional stutters without bringing down the framerate.(/EDIT) I wonder if there's a memory leak? I saw up to 2030mb VRAM usage, yet the game uses below 1000mb most of the time. This seems to only happen on campaign missions and v-sync, and is probably related to VRAM. (EDIT:) So I moved the game to my SSD, and I still see FPS drops when moving the camera with textures on Ultra. I also got two crashes from changing Textures between HIGH and ULTRA. Textures HIGH: I see as low as ~60FPS (from ~90FPS), but they stay stable even with 68Hz (V-SYNC), so probably the drops with v-sync disabled are frame pacing issues. I get massive FPS drops and stuttering when moving the camera with v-sync enabled, since it falls to 30FPS.īut I disabled v-sync and tested ULTRA and HIGH, just moving the camera from left to right on that particular scene: I then also tested the TEXTURES, which default on ULTRA on my system. I tested this on a particular spot on the second campaign mission, right at the start with the three stalkers: I tested the individual graphical settings and found out that REFLECTIONS absolutely kills performance! So, I just got the game for Christmas, and I also had terrible performance like many people have reported, which I found weird since I got good performance on HOTS 4v4 with Extreme settings, which is what my system defaults to. r/wow /r/diablo /r/hearthstone /r/heroesofthestorm /r/overwatch Same- and similar-topic submissions that exceed 4 per top 25 Promotional submissions that exceed "2 per 1 per 1"ĭuplicate results posts for the same individual match will be removed.
